Duties and responsibilities of the job:

• 4 years of work experience is required
• Should know cutter programming, and cut printed jobs as per given crop marks.
• Set up folders, load paper on the machine and should be able to fix minor issues of folder,
• Physically fit and should be able to work in fast paced work environment
• Must know folding, scoring, punching, drill hole, shrink wrapping the skids for shipping.
• Should be able to read, write, and must have basic mathematical skills
• Assist shipper while loading and unloading the skids.
• Attend employee meetings and training sessions
• Available for over-time and weekend shifts is required

Micro printing ltd. is a well-established printing company located in Mississauga. Currently, we are looking for an experienced and reliable pre-press operator with the experience of 10 years in offset printing.

Duties and responsibilities of the job:

• Well organized and able to work with tight work schedules
• Must be able to find the artwork problems related to fonts, colors, missing bleed and images. Find out the best solutions of the problems either ask customer for new files or make corrections in-house
• Efficiently operate MAC and PC systems.
• Must be familiar with drop box, we-transfer, Google drive, FTP and other file
  transferring methods.
• Rip files into the Apogee Plate making system, make job layouts and produce proofs for
  customer’s approvals.
• Knowledge of Adobe suite: In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator and Corel draw.
• Ability to follow high standards of print quality and responsible for producing jobs as per customer’s requirements.
• Excellent team player and follow manager’s given instructions
• Should attend company’s training sessions, must be able to learn new printing
  technology
• Keep pre-press room neat and clean, do minor cleanup on plate maker: remove jammed paper from the auto loader, wash rollers of the processor or assist technician while periodic maintenance.

The in-house finishing operations include cutting, folding, stitching, perfect bound, die-cutting and gluing. Currently, we are looking for an experienced print estimator with minimum of 5 years experience.

Duties and responsibilities of the job:

• Give estimates to the customers (current and prospective), after calculating the labor and material costs of the job.
• Thoroughly read the project detail, make key notes on the production process required for every job. Prepare production plan , which will be most cost effective and meet customer’s job quality requirements
• Submit quotes within the deadlines given by the customers
• Work closely with the sales and purchasing department, stay up to date about the current market prices of raw materials and selling price of the finished product in the market
• Follow up on given estimates and send revised quotes if customer would like to make changes on job specs.
• Check outside printing/ bindery costs, and make decision regarding outsourcing the jobs. Calculate company’s profit margin in particular job

Qualifications required:

• Excellent customer service skills and detail oriented, read job specifications thoroughly
  before estimating.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in printing industry is required
• Must have good mathematical skills
• Should be able to make plan and organize particular project, issue guidelines to the
  personnel to get work done in cost effective way without losing the quality of the job.
• Must be able to work under pressure and in fast paced work environment
• Good team player and goal oriented
• Must have thorough knowledge of offset printing and printing industry terminologies.

Job summary:

Plant manager will be responsible for all production operations, planning, organizing everyday production schedule, order inventory and maintain records of paper, ink, machine parts, cleaning chemicals and raw materials necessary for the printing. Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in printing industry.

Job responsibilities will be:

• Make printing production schedule, delegate work to the presses as per their production capacities and job requirements.
• Pay attention to the quality control and cost control, focus on getting maximum production from every shift.
• Coordinate with other departments, check their work deadlines and print quality
• Hire, train new workers, must be able to get temporary staff during busy season
• Prepare and implement new printing production strategies/ methods to improve plant production capacity
• Call technicians for press repairs and maintenance, keep machine parts in the inventory for immediate replacement
• Give instructions to the printing and bindery personnel about work safety rules, plant cleanliness; floors should be oil free, chemicals should be labeled properly
  and keep paper skids at proper place.
• Send work progress reports to the management
• Keep track record of the jobs from printing to shipping, printing, bindery and shipping should be done as per customer’s given instructions. Supervise shipping department, ask them to keep daily shipping and receiving documents.
• Call meetings, and discuss company’s production targets and goals of monthly production. Motivate employees to achieve the required goals and give feed back to the workers about their work performance

Other requirements:

• Bachelor degree from a business school is required
• Candidate should be punctual
• Proven leadership skills, must be able to supervise 20 to 30 employees
• Good team player, assist other department managers in achieving overall company goals
• Adaptive, should know new industry trends and must to able to make changes accordingly
• Excellent communication skills are required. Should read company policies thoroughly, and send work feedback to the management in proper way
• Accountability: person must be responsible for his/her own work and plus his/her team work too. Must check standard output and actual output variation and take steps to improve the future performance
• Should be able to work overtime and some weekends too
• Experience in warehousing will be an asset

Micro printing ltd. is a well-established printing company located in Mississauga. Our company is specialized in offset printing, digital printing and wide format printing. The in-house finishing operations include cutting, folding, stitching, perfect bound, die-cutting and gluing. Micro printing ltd. is looking for a pressman who can operate sheet fed offset presses. An ideal candidate should have an experience of running 40’’ offset printing press or web press. Minimum 10 years of work experience will be required.

Major Job responsibilities will be:

• Operate and maintain 6 color and 8 color presses, with the maximum sheet run size of 28×40’’
• Should be able to make required changes on press imposition or color set up to get customer’s required job quality
• Must know about plate punching and installing/loading the plates on the press, adjust the cylinders accordingly
• At the end of the shift pressman is required to clean the press: rollers, changes blankets, remove ink from the machine parts and keep press area neat and clean
• Excellent customer service, assist customers while press approval, listen to their queries and make necessary changes before printing the job.
• Should know how to use AQ coating and UV coating process
• Assist mechanic during periodic maintenance, remove broken parts, change old blankets and filters, remove dry ink from the units
• Keep the record of daily Make ready/ plates ran on the press
• Make work schedule to get maximum production throughout the shift and prioritize rush jobs, plan and organize jobs as per their sheet sizes, paper thickness and coating features.

Requirements:

• Must have 10 years experience and knowledge of 40’’ presses, Komori, Heidelberg or
  Mitsubishi.
• Must be available for 8 to 10 hours shift from Monday to Friday and some weekends during busy season<l/i>
• Must be able to read and understand the job specifications given on job cards
• Should attend monthly meetings, and follow manager’s instructions and meet the work deadlines accordingly
• Must know about safety rules, wear safety shoes, should use chemicals after reading the labels carefully, must keep hazard products at proper place and keep personal and other worker’s safety in mind.
